Bob Park

Bob Park is the Chief of Brands for GE, Café, Monogram and Haier Appliances in Canada. In addition to corporate communications and branding, his responsibility encompasses public relations, digital, advertising, promotions, and training initiatives.

 

Drawing on more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience, including leadership roles with globally recognized home electronics and computer brands, he is a proponent of digital innovation as well as a retail execution strategist. While at Samsung, Bob was the architect for successful product launches such as large format commercial displays as well as personal laser printer technology. He most recently led the Monogram brand of luxury appliances to prominence in the Canadian market using an unprecedented ‘digital-first’ approach for that industry.

 

Bob holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta, as well as executive certification from Princeton University.

Shari Walczak

With both a Masters of Science Degree in Creativity and Change Leadership from SUNY Buffalo State and an HBA Degree from the Ivey School of Business at Western, Shari has built a reputation as a brand strategy expert, skilled facilitator, and workplace change agent. 


Shari is a passionate advocate for creativity, particularly in the world of education where she Chaired the founding committee for Equinox Holistic Alternative School, the TDSB's largest elementary alternative school. In addition, she is a contributor to The Collective Wisdom of High-Performing Women: Leadership Lessons from The Judy Project (published April 2019), and a proud SheEO™ Activator supporting other female entrepreneurs who are creating a better world.


Shari is also the mom to two highly-active teenagers with whom she shares a love of snowboarding, adventure travel, the Maple Leafs and watching episodes of Survivor and This is Us (something her boys will never admit to publicly).

Yvonne is Vice President of Marketing & Communications at London Drugs. Since joining London Drugs in 2018, she has advanced the marketing strategy of one of BC’s “most loved” brands by optimizing the marketing mix for owned, earned, and paid media to gain relevance, and creating meaningful customer connections.

Driving for a customer led experience is at the core of the marketing strategy Yvonne is pursuing for the London Drugs brand. By embracing and acting on the data generated from the LDExtras loyalty program and merging with the insights achieved through research and additional data sources, Yvonne is leading London Drugs on a path to a new level of personalized customer experiences.

Yvonne has a wide background in marketing covering the vendor and retailer perspectives in a variety of the companies that have informed the work she does for London Drugs. Starting with customer insights, crafting a differentiated strategy and working with talented creative and agency partners to deliver breakthrough work is her passion.

She achieved an MBA in Executive Management from Royal Roads University in 2018 and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo.

Dawn Bednarski

Dawn began her 18-year marketing career agency-side, working with brands like Disney, Ubisoft, Coca-Cola, Minute Maid and Unilever. She moved client-side to Sun Life Financial, where she helped lead national brand campaigns and then shifted to focus on digital marketing, given the growing importance of these channels.

She moved over to RBC to support Insurance Marketing and then spent 2 years as Head of Marketing for RBC Ventures, where she led a rock star team of over 50 growth & digital marketers, supporting 15 start-ups that aim to provide value to Canadians, beyond their traditional banking needs.

Dawn just moved inside the bank at RBC this spring as Senior Director, Cards Marketing, overseeing all credit card portfolios.

Wain Choi

Wain has returned to Toronto after 16 years abroad, most recently as Chief Creative Officer/EVP at CJ Live City in Seoul, Korea. His well-respected career has taken him across the globe to Europe and Asia. He has held leading creative roles in major global advertising agencies including Cossette, Young & Rubicam, Dentsu, Ogilvy and Cheil Worldwide. Wain has extensive experience in leading global brands such as Nike, Coca-Cola, GM, Ford, Toyota F1 and Samsung.  


His works have been recognized and awarded at Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, Clio Awards, London International Festival, New York Festival, Spikes, Adfest and others. In addition, his extensive jury duties include Cannes Lions, D&AD Foreman Jury, The One Show, Spikes Jury President, Adfest Jury President, Cristal Jury President, AdStars Jury President, Clio, Dubai Lynx, Red Apple, New York Festivals, Kam Fan Award, etc.

Currently Strategic Planning Director at Tam-Tam/TBWA (Héma-Québec, STL, Ville de Laval, MTY, etc.), Ingrid has also co-crafted for various industries (Telus, Videotron, GSoft, McDonald's, ALDO, Jardin William, Google’s Sidewalk Labs, etc.).


Ingrid has broadened her entrepreneurial horizons when she co-founded Diner en Blanc Haïti, alcove & Pre&ent. Her passion for society and the arts is fed through her involvement as a committee member at La Vie des Arts magazine, Welcome Collective and A2C’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee.

Emma Eriksson

Emma Eriksson is an innovative marketer, strategic business leader and growth creator. 

 

She has a passion for purpose marketing and believes brands that bring people joy and help solve real human problems can drive logic-defying value, accelerate growth and at the same time make a positive difference in the world.


During her 20+ year career at General Mills Canada, where she most recently served as VP of Marketing, she led many award-winning campaigns such as Honey Nut Cheerios' “Bring Back the Bees”, which won the CMA´s Best of the Best in 2016, and Nature Valley’s “Rediscover the Joy of Nature“. She was part of the General Mills team recognized as Marketing Magazine’s Marketer of the Year in 2014 and she was selected as one of Canadian Grocer’s Star Women in 2016. 

 

In her free time, she loves travelling, especially to her native Sweden and beautiful Greece. She's the conductor of a children's choir and fully embraces her role as soccer mom and Tik Tok partner to Josephine (15) and Jakob (12).

Raymond Ludwin

Raymond leads a team responsible for all lower-funnel promotional and retail marketing across Air Canada. This includes route support; cross-sell of travel products; Aeroplan member lifecycle marketing, including Elite Status; and Aeroplan partner marketing, both FI and retail. Previously, when he joined Air Canada in 2018, he was the Project Leader responsible for the marketing launch of the transformed Aeroplan.

Raymond started his career in consumer research, both qualitative and quantitative.

He joined GWP Brand Engineering in 2000, eventually becoming Director of Strategic Planning. He then moved on to a similar role at Lowe Roche Advertising. His planning experience spans a wide range of categories, from travel and hospitality; media; financial services; automotive; food services; packaged goods; loyalty; and pharmaceutical.

In 2009, he joined Rogers Communications as Director, Brand Strategy. There, he was responsible for developing the brand platform for the newly merged cable and wireless divisions; and served as in-house planner for the company’s Marketing Communications division. From there, as Director, Corporate Affairs, he worked on Roger's reputation strategy. Furthermore, he led rebranding initiatives on a number of the media properties, including Chatelaine, Sportsnet, The Shopping Channel, and CityTV.

In 2013, he became Director of Brand Planning at Jackman Reinvention, a boutique consultancy specializing in end-to-end overhauls of international retail chains, and private brand development. His clients included Canadian Tire, Walgreens, and TGI Fridays.

Prior to joining Air Canada, he was the AVP of Brand and Collector Marketing at AIR MILES. In that capacity, he was responsible for deepening the appeal of the brand through social media, public relations, experiential and sponsorship marketing, and customer experience strategy. As well, he oversaw customer lifecycle management, from acquisition through to grooming, as well as marketing of the rewards portfolio.

Having started her career at Bleublancrouge agency in Branding & Design then Client Services, it was once she moved to the client side at TELUS that she discovered a love for the sponsorship industry and honed her strategic and experiential marketing skills.

Rachel Leung is a Senior Marketing Manager with Tim Hortons and is honoured to be on the jury for the 2022 Strategy Awards. With over eight years in the marketing and advertising industry, Rachel has cultivated a holistic skillset having spent time agency-side (DDB Canada/Tribal Worldwide and Watt International) and client-side in brand marketing (Maple Leaf Foods, Weston Foods and currently, Tim Hortons). She has now found a specialty in brand building and marketing communications and with award-winning campaigns under her belt, she looks forward to the opportunity to review and celebrate this past year’s best strategy work in Canada.

Shirley Mukerjea is the Senior Marketing Director for Frito Lay Core Brands at PepsiCo Foods Canada. In her current role, Shirley leads a team of passionate marketers who build magnetic brands by creating breakthrough consumer engagement & innovation strategies.

 

Shirley graduated from the Schulich School of Business, York University and started her 16-year marketing career at Kraft Foods Canada, where she spent seven years across sales and brand roles prior to joining PepsiCo in 2008. Her experience spans across consumer & shopper marketing including brand strategy, advertising & communications, innovation & new business, sports marketing, and shopper solutions. Shirley is known for inspiring and coaching teams, building capability, and unleashing insights to create compelling consumer experiences that transform brands and deliver sustainable business results. An accomplished Marketer, Shirley has been recognized with several industry accolades including Cannes Gold Lion, Cassies, and Sports Marketing Clios, and continues to support best practice sharing in the industry through public speaking and awards judging in addition to guest lecturing at her alma matter.

 

Shirley was born in Indonesia and travelled most of East Asia with her parents as a child, thus sparking her love affair with travel. Her passion for discovery and learning through immersive experiences has led her to 30 countries with an endless list to go. Nicole is an accomplished marketer, mother and entrepreneur who has worked on some of the biggest brands in Canada. She recently took on a new role as VP, Marketing at Goodlife Fitness, the largest group of fitness club chains in Canada and the fourth largest overall in the world.

Prior to her role at Goodlife Fitness, Nicole developed and successfully exited a fitness app, Paid Workout. She spent majority of her career in Tier 1 CPG and QSR as VP, Marketing at Tim Hortons, Head of Marketing, Weston Foods and Kraft Heinz where she spent over 12 years starting as a product assistant and working up the ranks on some of the best global and local brands including Philadelphia Cream Cheese, KD, Kraft Peanut Butter, and Delissio.

Pascal Routhier

Currently VP of Strategy at Theo, she loves solving complex business challenges through the intersection of creativity, design, comms, data and technology. While Min has received numerous awards and recognition from her peers, it is the resilience of her 4 year old daughter that she is the most proud of. She also sits on the board of the APG of Canada, helping to foster talent and growth within the planning community.

Trevor didn’t break into the ad game until his late 20s, but the experience he gained at the beginning of his professional life in fields like music, radio, sales and digital helped form him into the impossibly curious strategist that he is today.

In his 10+ years in the business, he has had the honour of working in some of Canada’s most highly respected strategy departments, and has had his work recognized both at home, and on the international stage. But what he’s most proud of is his work coaching and developing some of the top young talent in the country.

Trevor is a lover of music and story, always looking for new influences (from how the Beatles changed the way music is recorded, to how PIXAR designs characters) to bring into his work as a Strategist.
